Week 5 Final Standings

Wow. Wow. Wowee wow wow.

Wow.

What an amazing ending to the Cowboys-Bills game. I was on the phone with Jen (who's in San Diego right now), and I had a feeling after the two-point conversion failed. I didn't say anything, because I knew I'd jinx it. But I was thinking the whole time that this had all the makings of a Denny Green "Crown their ass!! We let 'em off the hook!!" Cards/Bears moment.

And it happened. It freaking really happened. I'll keep this short, since I think I now have to be on a building-wide suicide watch.

Week 5 Standings

1. Scott, 52
1. Dave, 52
3. Jen, 49
4. Steph, 48
4. Ryan, 48
6. "Gram", 47
7. John, 46
8. Matt, 44
9. Holly, 41
10. Bill, 40
11. Nancy/Janie, 38
12. Heather, 34

Essentially, the Cowboys screwed Bill pretty much every way imagineable. Kept Dallas undefeated? Check. Kept the division difference between Dalas and the Giants at 2? Check. Fall out of a tie with Holly? Check.

Let's go, Buffalo? I think the BuffaBlow tag at the bottom is one that Bill will agree with. And sorry about the Yankees, Bill. Bad night all around. Go get some Baja Fresh; it'll make you feel better.

Awards soon. Steph, make sure Bill doesn't punch too much stuff.

Ok, that thing I was saying about Cleveland? You know....the thing about them upsetting the pasterisks? I never said it.

Scott secretly hacked into my account, right after making Grammie Peg's picks, and posted that comment.

Yep - that's what happened, all right. Thaaaaaaaaat's what happened.

Inexorable I said...

Yea, I'm not a big fan of Barfalo right at the moment, not that I ever was after the NHL playoffs last year... but I'm more disappointed in my Yankees. Don't know what will go on in the off season and at this point really don't care.

Torre gone... don't know, don't care
Arod gone... don't know, don't care
Posada gone... don't know, don't care
Rivera gone... don't know, don't care
Better starting pitching... DO THIS
Better relief pitching... DO THIS

Good luck to the Tribe, I'll be pulling for them but doubt I'll watch.

As far as the cowturds, well still a lot of season left and my Giants aren't looking too shabby... at least in the second half... heh.

A welcome surprise so far. Now they just need to avoid the injury epidemic that has plagued them the last couple of seasons.
