Picks, Week 1

Welcome again to a new season of SBL! We have a record number of players this year, as 14 players are now in the league. Let's meet the new players:

*Janie Starcher- After co-running a team with her mom last year, Janie has decided to form her own team and break off from her mom as evergreen 13. We'll find out this year whether the brains of last year's operations were Nancy or Janie.

*Taylor Starcher- Dave and Heather's eldest daughter is making her SBL debut under the name daddy's girl. Will Dave's superior selecting skills rub off on her, or will she more resemble her mother? Time will tell.

*Chris Mehlem- Bill's brother is also making his debut after being coerced by Bill to do so. His team name is Jesus of Sloopy's, as he bears quite the resemblance of the Messiah as portrayed on the wall of our favorite Lakeside pizza place. We're still trying to figure out his team allegiance. Maybe he'll make it a year-long process like a founding member of the league did.


Before we get to the picks, a few things need to be clarified. First, picks cannot be seen until the deadline for each time frame is up, so the weekly Picks will be updated periodically throughout the day. Second- tiebreakers. In the event of a tie for first place at the end of the year, those players tied for first will pick the winners of the 1st week of playoff games by sending the picks to me via email. If I'm one of those tied for first, I will select a person to oversee the picks and post them to the blog for all to see.
