Week 1 Standings (Final)

All those who doubted Aaron Rodgers were duly punished Monday night, and all those who picked Oakland suffered an insulin overdose.  Cutler > diabetes.

Now that Week 1 is over, here are the standings:

1. Holly- 11 points
2. Matt, Ryan- 10 points
4. Steph- 9 points
5. Dave, Chris, John, Heather, Scott, Bill- 8 points
11. Nancy, Jen- 7 points

Now it's still incredibly early, but it's weird to see a 2-time champion in possession of the wooden spoon at the bottom of the chart.

Best Pick of the Week- Holly's pick of Tennessee over the Jaguars comes in a close second to Darelle Revis' interception of Chad Pennington in the end zone to preserve the Jets victory over the Dolphins.
Worst Pick of the Week- USA Today, for deciding not to let everyone see everyone else's picks once the games start.  I should sue them under the Freedom of Information Act.

Inexorable I said...

didn't necessarily doubt rodgers... I just thought the 'great' defensive line of the vikes would do better.

I mean weren't they heralded to be the greatest d-line in the league before the season started?

pack had 300+ yards
Grant ran for 92 yards on 12 carries
0 sacks for the vikes
even rodgers ran for 35 yds on 4 tries

Thats a great d-line? I wasn't impressed.

Tavaris needs work too

fun first week regardless

I'm really happy with the Packers/Vikings game. I needed a combined 36 points out of Grant, Adrian Peterson and Donald Driver to win the week. I got 38.

They wrote back to me, saying they were working on it. We'll see if that was anything more than lip service.

I don't intend to stay at the bottom for long. In week 1 you go big and end up at the bottom.
