Best Player of All Time For Every Team

Over at ESPN.com, they did a fan vote in which people could vote for who they thought was the greatest player in their favorite franchises history. Trying to guess the pick for each franchise is a fun little time-waster. The link is below:

Do me a favor and check it out, but save the AFC North for last. I promise you it will be worth it when you get to the end.

Good find, Matt!

Few surprises, for sure. I probably agree with most of them.

An argument could be made for Curtis Martin, though, @ NYJ.

Also, I'm a bit surprised to not see Ken Stabler's name in the Oakland picks.

Ravens = classic! I won't spoil it for everyone who hasn't read the article, but ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?????????????

I would agree- Namath is overrated as a player, but always gets put up there for his guarantee, style and for being the face of the AFL. Martin was a better player but wasn't flashy at all.

I also wish Al Toon had gotten a bit of love as well- he was a favorite of mine growing up. I wanted to wear 88 in Pop Warner, but we didn't have it. I settled for 89.

Oh, and would you have picked Bradshaw #1? My mind went to Franco Harris first, then Greene and Lambert.

And I loved Dermonti Dawson as a kid. He would have made the list on at least 10 franchises, but wouldn't sniff the list here. And no love for Ernie Stautner either.

Tough call on Bradshaw. You could put up solid arguments for any of the players you named. Flip a coin!

Did you get my email? Did I screw something up in the pool? I had bookmarked the page from last year, and it took me to the OLD pool.

BTW, the good folks at KSK apparently share our sentiments.

No surprise for my Giants pick.

Deion Sanders for Atlanta? Really? How long was he with the falcons before he became like a hired gun for two or three other teams?

Rat-birds pick was funny.
