Welcome to The Shaved Baby, an NFL pick'em league created in 2002 by a guy (me) with nothing better to do with his time. The inaugural season of the league had four members: me, my wife, her sister and her sister's eventual husband, which sadly reveals how few friends we had and how limited our scope was. Since then, it's grown to include a number of family members with a passion for football, plus Aunt Heather. Throughout the upcoming season, we'll be updating you on how the league is doing, mainly by bragging about how good we are and by mocking our opponents, only now for all the world to see. We'll also have weekly and yearly awards, as well as a running commentary during each week of the season.
At this point, you may be asking yourself how we came up with the name of The Shaved Baby. Well, the inspiration came from Grammie Peg, family matriarch and endless supply of comedy fodder. I get the feeling she'll be a main character on this blog. We'll tell the story in full eventually, but for now I say welcome, and only 60 more days until the start of the '07-'08 season.

I wish my team had a defense... and you wonder why I'm more excited about Hockey season starting. Other then that... yea it's looking like a long pigskin pool season with my stunning performance in week one at 7-9.
It can only get better right?
